Instagram…Oasis obtained

Non-dance so feel free to scroll on by, but some of you will know that we tried (in vain) to get Oasis tickets in the grand Ticketmaster debacle of 2024!

However as luck would have it we were selected to be offered a chance to purchase some additional tickets that were made available this week.

Ok so I’ve checked the ‘View From Your Seat’ and we’ll be lucky to see anything that isn’t displayed on a screen, but we’re there to listen/sing right?

Classes Sunday Night But Not Monday Night

Learn To Dance Group Lesson at Cherry Orchard Studio

It’s a Bank Holiday weekend, but that doesn’t mean the school is completely closed!

This Sunday will see our Beginner and Improver classes running as normal with one of our trainees, Allison, leading the class.

Monday night however there will be no classes, but Corrine & Francis will be leading the afternoon tea dance.

Weekly Tea Dances

This Monday our weekly tea dance will be running as normal, with Corrine & Francis leading the session.

The session starts from 1.30pm and runs until 3.30pm. Please bring your own mug for tea and coffee.

Sessions cost £5pp (£6pp from 2nd June) but with packages of 5 for £27 and 10 for £48 available.

No FitSteps This Week

Due to staff holidays there will be no FitSteps class this week. Classes resume as normal from Wednesday 4th June.

Improver Rumba Course

We have an Improver & Above Rumba course starting from Monday 16th June.

The course costs £50pp and starts at 7pm.

Whilst we will discuss the basic technique in these courses they are primarily aimed at those who already know the dance and are looking to take their dancing further.

Special Strictly Workshop

We have some exciting news for you. On Saturday 21st June Vito Coppola and Dianne Buswell will be coming to the Learn To Dance studio to provide a special meet & greet and workshop session.

We are anticipating doors open 8.30am and workshop from 9am-10am. Similar workshops run by ‘DanceWithUs’ have cost £100 for the session, but we will have access to a 10% discount code for students. Full details to follow.

Simply Swing Live Band

The band Simply Swing providing live music at the Learn To Dance studio in Burnham. Features a singer, saxophonist, keyboard, bass guitar and drummer

We’ll be welcoming back the excellent Simply Swing for another live band dance social on Friday 27th June.

Tickets cost £55pp and we’re already 37% booked!

Bournemouth Dance Weekend

Our Bournemouth Dance Break takes place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th October 2025. The dances being covered this year are Tango & Cha Cha Cha and we will have a 1970s theme to the Saturday night.

Places start from £325pp, with upgraded rooms available. There is a single person supplement of £70.

We are already 40% booked and have only 5 solo rooms remaining!
