What is Sunday Social?
Sunday Social is a relaxed practice evening for Ballroom, Latin and social dancing.
We play a mixture of music so students can practise different dances, enjoy time on the floor and build confidence in a more social setting.
It is ideal for students who would like:
- Extra practice time
- A relaxed Sunday evening dance
- A chance to go over steps from class
- More confidence dancing socially
- Time to dance outside a formal lesson
- A friendly studio atmosphere with familiar faces
There is no pressure to be perfect. The aim is simply to enjoy dancing and keep moving.
Is Sunday Social a taught class?
No. Sunday Social is not a structured Beginner or Improver lesson.
There may be teachers or experienced dancers present, but the session is designed for practice and social dancing rather than formal tuition.

Who is Sunday Social suitable for?
Sunday Social is best suited to dancers who already know a few basic steps and would like somewhere friendly to practise.
You do not need to be advanced, and you do not need to know every dance. However, because this is not a taught class, complete beginners may feel more comfortable starting with one of our Adult Beginner classes first.

Coming on your own or with a partner
You are welcome to attend with or without a partner.
If you come with a partner, you are welcome to stay together.
If you come on your own, you won't be alone. We cannot always guarantee even numbers, but Sunday Social is a friendly practice session and we encourage everyone to be included as much as possible.
What dances will be played?
The music will usually include a mixture of Ballroom, Latin and social dance styles, such as:
- Waltz
- Foxtrot
- Quickstep
- Tango
- Rumba
- Cha Cha Cha
- Samba
- Jive
- Salsa
- Rock & Roll
- Sequence and social dances where suitable
The exact mix may vary from week to week.
Prices and booking
Sunday Social is £6 per person.
Places should be booked online in advance where possible, so we can manage numbers and keep the session comfortable.
