Ballroom & Latin Dance Weekends
with Learn To Dance

Dance, socialise and enjoy a few days away with familiar faces

Our Learn To Dance weekends and trips are a lovely way to enjoy dancing beyond the studio.

Throughout the year, we arrange a small number of dance breaks and group experiences, giving students the chance to practise, socialise, enjoy themed evenings and make memories with other dancers from Learn To Dance.

Some weekends include workshops and social dancing. Others are built around special dance events, such as our annual trip to Blackpool for the NATD Medallist of the Year Grand Finals.

Whether you are joining us for a full dance weekend, a themed party night or a competition experience, the aim is always the same: good dancing, good company and a relaxed few days away.

March: Glastonbury Dance Weekend

Our spring Ballroom and Latin dance weekend takes place at The Wessex Hotel in Street, near Glastonbury.

This is a relaxed weekend of workshops, social dancing and a Saturday night themed party, with Clarks Village shopping outlet just a few minutes away.

Each year we focus on one Ballroom or Latin American dance during the workshop, starting with an accessible sequence and building it gradually throughout the session.

July: Blackpool NATD Medallist of the Year Trip

Each July, we arrange a Learn To Dance trip to Blackpool for the NATD Ballroom & Latin American Medallist of the Year Grand Finals.

This is a slightly different style of dance break. Rather than a full weekend of workshops, it is a chance to experience the atmosphere of one of the biggest events in the medallist dance calendar, support Learn To Dance students who have qualified to compete, and enjoy a few days away with familiar faces from the studio.

The trip usually includes B&B hotel accommodation, Friday night dinner, two days spectating at the competition, and afternoon tea and dancing at Blackpool Tower.

It is a brilliant chance to cheer on our own students, experience the atmosphere of a national dance event and enjoy the magic of Blackpool together.

September: Autumn Dance Weekend

Our autumn dance weekend is one of our longest-running breaks.

The format usually includes social dancing, a Saturday night themed party and workshops covering one Ballroom dance and one Latin American dance. We often use the weekend to explore fun steps and sequences that you may not see in regular weekly classes.

From 2026, this break moves to Bridgend, from Bournemouth, giving us a new setting for a familiar Learn To Dance favourite.

What to expect

Every break is a little different, but our dance weekends often include:

  • Hotel accommodation
  • Dinner, bed and breakfast, depending on the trip
  • Ballroom and Latin social dancing
  • A Saturday night theme
  • Dance workshops or guided practice
  • Time to relax and socialise
  • Plenty of familiar faces from Learn To Dance

For full details, please check the individual trip page before booking, as dates, prices, board basis, deposits and what is included vary by break.
