Let’s Get Cheeky This Week – Cha Cha Week (plus Quickstep recap)

Did everyone survive the Easter break (especially those of us with kids)? We enjoyed last Friday’s Good Friday Afternoon Tea, though we’re still making our way through scones (and Easter eggs) even now!!!

This week it’s a chance to check out the cheeky Cha Cha Cha plus we’ll be recapping last week’s Quickstep.

The Beginner Rock & Roll course starts this Sunday 12th April at 6pm. Remember it’s a 12 week course but you book for 6 weeks at a time.

Also if you’re interested we do have a few spaces available for our exam sessions coming up in May. Exams are available from beginner level all the way up (though levels above beginner generally need to be looking at private lessons to augment the classwork).

This week you’ll learn:

  • Recapping the Quickstep, including tipple chasses in Improver 2 and quick open reverses in the intermediates.
  • Our Beginner Rock and Roll course commences with a look at the basics and some of the open moves.
  • The Waltz course will be recapping everything done in the previous 5 sessions. If you’re thinking of joining the extension from the 20th then you are welcome to attend the recap session and pay as a one-off.
  • Salsa will start by recapping the Copa Around The World, and the Crucifix/Titanic.

The above though can be subject to change depending on how individual classes run.

Cha Cha Cha comes from the same family of Cuban dances as Rumba, Mambo and Salsa and they share quite a few similar moves.

Beginner Rock & Roll Course

The beginner Rock & Roll course starts this Sunday, 12th April, at 6pm.

Places start from £265pp (£65 single supplement) but you can save £15pp if you book before the end of April.

Upcoming & Reminders

  • The Waltz course is extending from Monday 20th April
  • You can save £15pp if you book our September Bridgend Dance Break before the end of this month
