Classes this week will be recapping the Quickstep and looking at Cha Cha Cha.

Just to let you know the Parish Council are refurbishing the toilets at the Cherry Orchard. From Monday 28th September the Male and Female toilets will be closed. The disabled toilet will be open, and there will be some external portaloos, but we recommend using facilities before you come to the studio as it could become quite busy at times.

For our next Wednesday evening courses we need your feedback. We have a space to run a 10-week course. Options could include Bachata, Mambo, Merengue or a special ‘Improver Your Technique’ course. Let us know your thoughts and the course would likely start on Wednesday 7th October.

Finally if you intend to attend the competition on Sunday 11th October, a reminder that all tickets must be booked by Friday 2nd October as there will be no tickets sold on the door.

With Cha Cha Cha the name purportedly came from the sound your feet would make on a sandy bar floor, so make sure you’re keeping your toes in contact with the floor at all times!

- Improver 2 – Tipple Chasse to Right, and along the room
- Improver 3 – Natural Pivot Turn, Natural Spin Turn
- Intermediate 1 – Exploring a number of silver level steps
- Intermediate 2 – Tipsy to Left, V6, Rumba Cross
- Advanced – Combining Intermediate 2 figures
- Over 50s – Tipple Chasse to Right along the room
Beginner Waltz Course – Outside Change
Nightclub Two-Step Course – Basic, Basic Turning to the Right

Around The Studio

Temporary Toilets

A warning that our toilets will be mainly out of action from Monday 28th September for a fortnight for refurbishment.

Only the disabled toilet will be available, along with some external portaloos, so we’d recommend using facilities before you attend the studio.

Hopefully the result of brand-spanking new toilets will outweigh a temporary inconvenience.

Medallist of the Year Qualifier

Why not come along and experience the atmosphere of a dance competition while supporting our Learn to Dance students as they take to the floor in the Medallist of the Year Qualifier? You don’t need to compete to enjoy the dancing and cheer on some familiar faces! It’s a great chance to see how these events work,

The competition takes place in Reading on Sunday 11th October. Tickets cost £19pp and doors open from 9am (first round 9.45am). You have a wristband that permits you to come and go as you please from the competition.

Tickets must be booked by Friday 2nd October.
