Bachata Week and Argentine Tango recap, plus Summer Social this Friday
This week we’ll be recapping the Argentine Tango, and looking at Bachata.
A reminder that we have our Summer Social this Friday from 7.30pm. With there now being two options for regular weekly dance practice our Friday social events will become more of a party, with a selection of solo and fun partner dances mixed in with Ballroom and Latin American dancing.
There will be limited spaces available ‘on the door’ so please book in advance if you intend to join us.
Also we have confirmed that the first London-area inter-school competition, a qualifier for the NATD Medallist of the Year, will take place in Reading on Sunday 11th October. You don’t have to be a competitor, tickets will be available for those that wish to spectate or support Learn To Dance dancers. Details TBC but feel free to pop the date into your diary.
For those interested in competing, or hearing more details, check out our recent news update.
Finally don’t forget our Waltz course enters another extension from Monday 3rd August, and after 24 weeks we’ve just starting touching upon Silver (Intermediate Level 2) steps. The course extension is open to book now and is suitable for Improver Level 2 and above students.

Waltz Course Extension
Our Waltz course has been running now for 24 weeks and we are just starting to move into Silver level steps.
The extension starts from this Monday, 3rd August, and is available to book now.
Suitable for those students who are at least Improver Level 2, or have a solid grounding in the bronze level patterns.
Inter-school Competitions
We are gathering details of eligibility requirements for participating in inter-school competitions.
There is a competition coming up on Sunday 11th October at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre near Reading. Tickets will be available to purchase that will allow you to attend to spectate and support Learn To Dance students, or even compete yourself (subject to acquiring/working towards the appropriate exam levels).
We are just awaiting clarification on a number of questions we have asked the NATD, and then we will be able to confirm how you can go about competing if you are interested in that experience of Ballroom dancing. More details to follow.

Souvenir Programmes Available
For those that weren’t able to attend our 20th Anniversary Gala, or maybe want additional copies of the complimentary programme, we have copies at the studio that are available to purchase for ยฃ5 per programme.
Just ask a staff member if you’d like to purchase a copy.
(also we are currently putting together a gallery from the evening as the photographer’s photos have now come in, so look out for that soon)
