Solo Quickstep Dance Routine

Solo Quickstep online video thumbnail

We have put together a Solo Quickstep routine for you to hopefully be able to fit into your front rooms! However if you’re looking for a lesson on dancing Quickstep with a partner you should check out last week’s partner dancing video.

We teach the routine in easy to follow stages that build you up to a full choreographed routine. There’s plenty of opportunities to practice the routine throughout the video.

Solo Quickstep – The Dance

Quickstep is one of our faster ballroom dances, although the initial basics are quite slow in comparison.

For our Solo Quickstep routine we have taken some of the basic movements and adjusted them to keep them compact.

The routine includes Quarter turns to the right and progressive chassés (slightly adjusted), some basic Charleston (without swivelling, but feel free to throw swivels in), tipsies to the right and left and lock steps forward and back.

The Music

The music we have used for this routine is ‘Changed My Mind’ by OTE feat. Divty. We used it originally in our Partner Quickstep lesson and liked it so much that we thought we’d use it for this routine too!

We hope you enjoy our Solo Quickstep-inspired lesson. Don’t forget if you’d prefer a routine you can dance with a partner we did release a lesson for that last week.
