We had some unexpected visitors at the studio this week, and Antony couldn’t miss the opportunity to let loose a few bird puns…
YouTube…The Waltz Reverse Turn
This week’s video looks at the Reverse Turn in the Waltz. We also then show you how to use this, combined with previous videos, to make your way around the dance floor.

Kristina Rihanoff Workshop Day
On Saturday 18th May Kristina Rihanoff will be visiting to provide a morning of Latin American dance workshops.
There will be four workshops at the following times:
10am Rumba
11am Cha Cha
12pm Samba
1pm Jive
The workshops cost £25pp, £42.50 for any two, £57.50 for 3 or £70 for all four.
We’re already over 50% booked on the workshops (some 60%).
Simply Swing Live Band Event
For our June social we have invited a wonderful Ballroom and Latin American band, Simply Swing, to come to the studio.
The evening will feature 3 x 40minute live sets, with recorded music provided during the breaks.

Bournemouth Dance Weekend
Our Bournemouth Dance Weekend will take place at The Queens Hotel & Spa this year from Friday 4th-Sunday 6th October.
As well as DB&B our students will also have access to their indoor pool and jacuzzi, as well as discounted spa treatments.
This year’s break will be Quickstep & Jive with a ‘Guys & Molls’ theme to the Saturday night.
The cost will be £315pp, with a £70 single person supplement.
There are also upgrades available (based on 2 sharing) of £20pp to a Supreme Double or £40pp to a Junior Suite.
We only have 1 Supreme Doubles and 1 Junior Suite remaining. All Solo Rooms are now fully booked. We only have 4 rooms remaining from our allocation!
