Sunday Workshop Changes

Learn To Dance Group Ballroom Dance Workshops

Many of you will know, especially if you follow our Weekly What’s On updates, that we have been reviewing our Sunday workshop offerings over the last year.

A lot of students who used to come to Sunday workshops are now attending our One Dance Courses. The general feedback is that they prefer this format as it allows them to focus and develop more a single dance rather than a variety.

Since the return from the pandemic numbers have been variable in the Sunday workshops and unfortunately, on the main, unsustainable.

We have therefore made the decision to cancel Sunday Improver, Intermediate and Advanced workshops with immediate effect.

Sunday Sequence & Social workshops will continue for the moment as numbers have been fairly consistent across the year.

For the next few weeks both Antony & Denise will open up additional private lesson availability whilst we review what will take place on Sundays.

What could replace the regular workshops?

Ideas we’re looking at include:

  • One-Off workshops on dances we don’t normally teach, such as Mambo, Charleston, Paso Doble, American Smooth and Bachata
  • Guest teacher workshops, bringing in experts in various dance styles for either technical work or ’embellishment’ styling
  • ‘Strictly’ workshops, bringing in current or former pros for special one-off premium workshops

We’re also open to any ideas or suggestions you might have too.

Likely we would look to possibly have one of these workshops either monthly, or every few months, rather than weekly.

We look forward to your feedback, and apologise to those students that have been regular attendees at these workshops and would have loved them to continue.
