Due to the Coronavirus pandemic our 2020 Bournemouth Dance Weekend had to be rescheduled to 2021. The break will run from Friday 1st October – Sunday 3rd October. We will be covering Foxtrot & Samba as we would have done in our 2020 break.
Our dance breaks are often the highlights of the year for our students so we hope by October normality has sufficiently resumed!
In 2019 we moved our dance break to a new home, the Marsham Court Hotel, after we fell in love with the Plantation Suite:
What we loved about the Plantation Suite was the ability to have our entire weekend in our own private room. From breakfast in the morning through all our workshops, evening dinner and social dances, the suite is ours exclusively.
Marsham Court is also perfectly placed near the seafront with easy access to the beach and promenade.
What’s the plan for our 2021 Bournemouth Dance Weekend?
All our dance breaks are dinner, bed and breakfast and include two nights of social dancing and two mornings of workshops.
A rough breakdown of the weekend is as follows:
- 7pm – Welcome drinks reception
- 7.30pm – Dinner
- 9pm – Music for Dancing
- 10.30am – Foxtrot Workshop
- 11.30am – Samba Workshop
- 4.15pm – Special One-Off Afternoon Workshop (supplement)
- 6.30pm – Dinner
- 8.30pm – Music for Dancing
- 10.30am – Recap workshop
Our dance breaks always feature a theme to the Saturday night, and this year the theme is ‘Brazil‘. Whilst it’s not compulsory to dress up for the occasion it’s always more fun if you do. Our themes can be interpretated in whatever way you like.

About Learn To Dance
Learn To Dance is a Ballroom and Latin American Dance School based in Burnham, Buckinghamshire.
As well as our regular dance classes, private lessons and workshops we also host a variety of dance events and holidays each year. We missed our 2020 Bournemouth, and 2021 Glastonbury dance weekends so we hope the vaccination programme allows our events to resume.
