Social Gathering Limit – Does the new limit affect Learn To Dance classes?

Social Gathering Limit Dance School Exempt

I’m sure by now you are all aware of the new Social Gathering Limit being introduced from Monday 14th September.

The new measures announced are designed to suppress virus transmission and keep the number of infections down.

As such they have announced that from Monday social gatherings will be limited to groups up to 6 people.

Does the Social Gathering Limit affect Learn To Dance classes?

Many of you have contacted us to ask what affect this will have on our reopening plans. Also how it would affect our class sizes and your ability to book a space if numbers were further limited.

We are happy to announce that we are a Covid Secure venue, following government guidelines to reduce transmission. This means we are not included in the social gathering limit.

The size of our studio, and the abundance of ventilation means we can have a few more than 6 people. Capacity calculations allow up to 16 students in a class – although we are limiting to 12 for increased safety.

Has the dance class schedule changed?

We have revised our schedule to offer a number of class options both during the day and in the evenings. Hopefully this means that there are plenty of opportunities for you to get back to the studio.

Currently the website still refers to the old pre-Covid schedule. However it is likely that our revised schedule may end up being permanent. We will be working at updating the website fully over the next few days.

All this means you may return to dance classes, confident that we are doing all we can to ensure a safe environment.

Please remember though that all classes are currently pre-book only. Whilst a Social Gathering Limit doesn’t apply to us, we are still limiting to a class size of 12. Therefore we can’t accept walk-ins at present.

Our online booking window for classes closes 2 hours before a class, but you can still ring to check availability.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the studio…although without hugs!
