Solo Cha Cha Cha Dance Routine

Solo Cha Cha Cha routine online video thumbnail

We have put together a Solo Cha Cha Cha routine for you to practice in your front rooms. Whilst Cha Cha Cha is primarily a partner dance, this means if you don’t have a partner that’s no problem at all.

The routine is taught in easy to follow stages that build you up to a full choreographed routine. There’s plenty of opportunities to practice the routine throughout the video.

All of the moves in today’s routine can be used in partner Cha Cha Cha. In fact we had only recently taught the zig-zag and flick in a few classes (pre-Coronavirus outbreak)!

The Dance – Cha Cha Cha

Cha Cha Cha is a Cuban dance and shares similarities with Rumba, Mambo and Salsa. The basic timing is Slow, Slow, Quick-Quick-Slow.

We’ve choreographed a routine the ranges from simple basic movements to silver level (and above!).

Featuring alternative basics, open basics, Cuban breaks (including split Cuban breaks), New Yorks, spot turns and then a Zig-Zag grapevine with a spring and flick.

The Music

The music we have used for this routine is ‘Scratch My Back’ by Particle House feat. Divty:
