Who's up for a painting party?

UPDATE: We will be painting on Saturday 24th September from 8am if you’re able to come down!

Whilst we are still waiting to finalise the legal formalities of the lease on our new studio, we have been given permission by the landlord to commence some of the initial decorating work we wanted to do.

As such we are planning on going in on Friday & Saturday of this week for prep work and initial painting of the wooden door and window frames to take them from a dark mahogany to a nice bright white.  We hope that we may even have enough time to get sufficient coats on for them to be finished this weekend.

If anyone is available on Friday after 2pm, or Saturday from the morning onwards, we’d love any help that you could offer.

Also if you have spare paint brushes, paint trays, sand paper etc. that we could use please let us know.

Anyone that has any recommendations for the best place to purchase paint & supplies, or if you have a trade contact, please let us know.

We will also be taking photos to document the studio at various stages of the conversion but don’t worry you don’t have to pose if you don’t want to!

The address of our new studio is Cherry Orchard Pavilion, George Pitcher Memorial Ground, Britwell Road, Burnham, SL1 8DL.

Please let us know if you are available to help on either of those days, even if it’s just to make sandwiches & tea!

We probably have some paint supplies. The fact that I said probably shows that we’re not great decorators but I’m happy to help on catering and I’ll bring home made brownies

Would have loved to help out as I am quite handy with a paint brush! Unfortunately can’t get back from Spain quick enough 😉 Hope you get plenty of volunteers. Looking forward to trying out the new studio after I get back from my hols 🙂 Sue W.
