About Us

The School

LearnToDance was set up by husband and wife team Antony & Emma-Louise Holeksa in May 2006.

Their first dance class was for friends of one of Antony’s colleagues who couldn’t find a teacher near them in Hayes.

After finding out how much they enjoyed teaching, Antony & Emma decided to try setting up their own class nearer to home and their Eton class was born.

It is hard to believe it now but they very nearly called it quits when the only student that was coming was the ballet teacher teaching before them. In fact on the night that Antony stated ‘If no one else comes tonight we’re calling an end to this’ they had two new students turn up, both of whom are still with us to this day.

From there the school grew and evolved into what you see today and we were proud to move into our own dance studio, Cherry Orchard Pavilion, in November 2016.

The Teachers

Antony Holeksa

Antony started dance lessons when he was 3 years old. After finding an apparent natural aptitude he continued dancing, progressing through medals and competing.

With the start of Strictly Come Dancing the demand for a local teacher gave him the impetus to set up his own school.

Now he provides beginner through to advanced tuition via classes and private lessons, and also runs corporate events and choreographs wedding first dances.

He has appeared on BBC Radio Berkshire as well as being asked by local, national and international companies for his expertise as a dance teacher.

Emma is Antony's wife and co-owner of LearnToDance.

She enjoys interacting with people and especially loves working with couples to give you a fun introduction to dancing.

She is also a qualified photographer and has her own wedding, event, and portrait photography business.

Please feel free to peruse her photography website.

With the birth of their daughter in 2014 Emma has taken a step back from full teaching but can be booked by request for private lessons.

Both Antony and Emma have experience of teaching all levels of dancers both in the UK and abroad.

Denise Bainton

Denise started dance lessons at the age of nine. She continued dancing working through medals with the IDTA. She also competed in couple and formation team junior competitions.

After a break due to raising a family and work commitments she is now back to dancing and really enjoying teaching with LearnToDance.

Although only 5ft 2in (in her heels) don't underestimate her ability to out-stretch much taller dancers!
